Chapter I General Rules

   Article 1 In order to encourage and support outstanding foreign students to come to our college, promote the development of foreign students' education, and standardize the management of Chongqing Vocational College of Public Transportation President scholarship (hereinafter referred to as the President Scholarship), in combination with the actual situation of our hospital, Chongqing Vocational College of Public Transportation（CVCPT） have formulated these measures according to the spirit of relevant documents of Ministry of Education and Chongqing Municipal Education Commission.

Chapter II Qualification of applicant

Article 2 Basic requirements for the application of President scholarship

1.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and be physically and mentally healthy;

2.Voluntarily abide by the laws, regulations of Chinese government, rules and regulations of college;

3.Not obtain other scholarships of Chinese government.

Article 3 President scholarship qualification of applicant

1.Foreigners who have studied at CVCPT for more than one year (inclusive) and whose age is not more than 40 years old (hereinafter referred to as "advanced students");

2.Foreign students who have enrolled in CVCPT for more than one year (inclusive) and who have registered his roll and will study at Chongqing Vocational College of Public Transportation (hereinafter referred to as “enrolment students”).

Chapter III Reward standard

Article 4 President scholarship will be set at three levels. Award criteria are as follows (in RMB):

1.The first-class award standard is 80% of tuition fee for a school year.

2.The second-class award standard is 50% of tuition fee for a school year.

3.The third-class award standard is 30% of the tuition fee for a school year.

Chapter IV Application route and time

Article 6 Application time is from January to April, July to October each year.

Chapter V Scholarship review requirements

Article 7 Specific review requirements for President scholarship

First-class award

1.Foreign students who are enrolled in college or who have completed the registration procedures;

2.Those who did not violate Chinese law during school period, were not subject to judicial or administrative penalties, and were not subject to disciplinary action by CVCPT;

3.Those whose learning attitude is correct, diligent and hard. Those whose scores are all above 85 (include 85) in the last school year examination and have no retakes or absenteeism;

4.Chinese Proficiency Test Level 4 and above (HSK4);

5.Those who have a high prestige and a good exemplary role in the classmates: participate in class and college activities actively; work conscientiously and practically; serve as a certain foreign student cadre in CVCPT or class;

Second-class award

1.Foreign students who are enrolled in college or who have completed the registration procedures;

2.Those who did not violate Chinese law during school period, were not subject to judicial or administrative penalties, and were not subject to disciplinary action by CVCPT;

3.Those whose learning attitude is correct, diligent and hard. Those whose scores are all above 80 (include 80) in the last school year examination and have no retakes or absenteeism;

4.Chinese Proficiency Test Level 3 and above (HSK3);

5.Those who have a high prestige and a good exemplary role in the classmates: participate in class and college activities actively; work conscientiously and practically;

Third-class award

1.Foreign students who are enrolled in college or who have completed the registration procedures;

2.Those who did not violate Chinese law during school period, were not subject to judicial or administrative penalties, and were not subject to disciplinary action by college;

3.Those whose learning attitude is correct, diligent and hard. Those whose scores are all above 70 (include 70) in the last school year examination and have no retakes or absenteeism;

4.Chinese Proficiency Test Level 3 and above (HSK3).

Chapter VI Application material

Article 8 In the application for President scholarship, bipartite application materials should be submitted. The application materials will not be returned regardless of the approval.

Chapter VII Review

Article 9 College establishes CVCPT International Students’ President Scholarship Management office, which is located in Development planning and external cooperation department, and is responsible for the management of President scholarship application, review and issuance.

Article 10 According to the evaluation rules for College establishes CVCPT International Students’ President Scholarship, International student leadership scholarship management office will lead the joint assessment of applicant's materials with Student office, Academic affairs office and International student department. The reviewing should adhere to the principles of fairness, impartiality and openness. The results of review will be announced on college for one week. After the public notice has no objection, it will be reported to the college office for approval.

Chapter VIII Supplementary articles

Article 11 College implements President scholarship recovery system. International students who apply for President scholarship must not falsify, otherwise they will be disqualified from the award, and the scholarship will be recovered and dealt seriously according to relevant regulations.

Article 12 Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students who come to CVCPT are referred to this method; CVCPT has an agreement with the school who dispatch international students will be executed according to the agreement.

Article 13 The measures shall be implemented as of the date of promulgation, and the college shall authorize International student president scholarship management office and Student office to explain.
