On the morning of 11th July, Thai High-speed Railway Technology Training Course closing ceremony and Silk Road Program summary meeting was held in the college. Sarojn Kojuantiaw, Education Consultant of Thai Vocational Education Committee, Thitipon Oonhaad, Secretary of Thai Vocational Education Committee, Hu Bin, former inspector of Chongqing Education Commission and President of Chongqing Education International Exchange Association, Le Yong, Secretary General of Chongqing Education International Exchange Association, Xie Shibo, Director of Chongqing Education International Exchange Association Service Center, other guests from China and Thailand, and college leaders participated in ceremony and summary meeting.
Both China and Thailand expressed their high praise when summarizing the achievements of "Thai High-speed Railway Technology Training Course" project. In the project summary report, Peng Wenhua, Director of Development Planning and External Cooperation Department of the College, summarized four important points in the successful implementation of this project: first, this project is the first one-year high-speed rail technology training Silk Road Project for “Belt and Road” countries. Successful implementation of the project has positive significance and demonstration guidance for the role of Silk Road Project and the experience of summarizing and promoting Silk Road Project; second, the project demonstrated and shared the achievements and experience of China's high-speed rail train construction, cultivated a shortage of railway transportation technical skills talents for Thailand, accumulated valuable experience for the college to train international talents, and laid a solid foundation for jointly cultivating high-speed rail for follow-up cooperation with Thai cooperative institutions; third, the project has enhanced the understanding of the college and Thai Vocational Education Council and Thai partner institutions, further consolidated the international educational cooperation relationship, and made the college a designated base for training Thai vocational education railway transportation students in China; fourth, the project fully exerted the policy effect of Chongqing Municipal Government Silk Road Scholarship, which promoted the opening up of Chongqing education, built inland open highland, made Chongqing become a preferred city in seeking cooperation, development, international exchange, business and trade activities for “Belt and Road” countries.
